Our theaters are the only locally owned theaters in Raleigh, NC. When you come see a movie with us, you are supporting your local community.

This also means your theater-going experience will have a personal touch that you won't get at larger corporate multiplexes. Our employees work for us because they love the movies, and they are friendly and welcoming, as well as knowledgeable.

 

High quality presentation.

All our theaters are equipped with top-of-the-line film projectors, sound systems and the Dolby Digital cinema system, which all adds up to great sound and superb picture quality.

Our owner, Bill Peebles, has been working in the film industry for more than 17 years, beginning as a projectionist in 1978. His background is in electrical engineering, which contributes to his skill in creating a top-quality movie experience.

 

Our theaters are a pleasure to visit.

All our theaters are fun to visit, because we keep them extremely clean, we provide ample parking, we serve delicious popcorn (which was voted by Independent Weekly readers as the best in the Triangle) and other refreshments, including wine and beer at some theaters.

We show movies you won't find anywhere else.

While we do screen big Hollywood movies, we specialize in the independent, foreign and alternative films that the corporate chains never show. All our films in foreign languages are shown with subtitles. Come to our theaters to see the films that are winning awards at film festivals around the world, and to see artistic and challenging films.

But, of course, we also show "normal" movies that you can take Aunt Fran or the grandkids to, like Big Fat Greek Wedding or Curious George.

 

Our prices are affordable.

Everyone likes to save money. Our tickets and concessions cost less than they do at most other theaters in the area. We want you to be able to afford to have a drink and snack with your movie!

 

Our popcorn is delicious.

We know we already mentioned this, but our popcorn is so good, it bears repeating! We even have a customer who comes to the Rialto before he watches a movie he rented to watch at home, because he wants our special popcorn.

Why is it so good? Because our staff went through all the oils, salts and seeds available until they came up with our "top secret formula" for the best popcorn flavor ever! Our popcorn is also cooked in healthy non-hydrogenated oil. Yum!
